capify.org - No links to 2.x release notes
Reported by Neil Wilson | May 2nd, 2008 @ 10:24 PM
Is it possible to put a set of link on the 'capify.org' website 'donwload' page to the 'release notes' blog posts for the various versions of Capistrano on your blog?
You can't discover the details of the new features in the 2.x series from that site without going through Google, Google groups and then ending up on your blog.
It took a while for me to discover all the changes. I reckon a set of release notes links would help until you give the docs a overhaul.

Fair enough, and good suggestion. I've added a link to the release announcement on my blog, from the "Download" page on capify.org.

Thanks for that. Any chance of the release notes for 2.2 and 2.1
ending up in the same place. There are a lot of changes since 2.0.

I could do that, but the release announcements on my blog are generally not "complete", in that I don't usually mention every change that was made, just the notable ones. The best place to look for all changes is the CHANGELOG. Have you checked that out? If so, what about it do you find insufficient?

Usage examples, which the blog posts provide.
For example there is nothing in the CHANGELOG telling me how to switch
a pty back on - which I sort of needed last week...
It's only temporary until you get the docs up to date.

Good point. What I'll do from now on is I'll add a file for the release notes which I'll update with examples and so forth on each release. And if nothing else I can then link to that file on capify.org, in addition to including that file with each release.
Thanks for bringing this up. It's definitely a valid point.
